Halloween is coming up soon! Whether you plan to go out or stay home and hand out treats, there are lots of ways you and your family can enjoy the best of the season and still be safe. Here are some tips on how to make the most of your Halloween!
Trick or Treating
Families are getting creative this year and finding ways to enjoy the best of the season while staying safe and practicing social distancing. The CDC recommends that kids and families who do go out to trick or treat remember to wear a cloth mask and stay 6 feet away from groups or people who are not in your household.
If you're handing out treats this Halloween, it's a great idea to make "grab & go" treat bags for kids and set up an outside station to distribute candy bags. Wash your hands before making treat bags to minimize contact and wear your mask as well!
Last but not least, make sure your house is well-lit with a clear pathway to your door or treat station to minimize risk for trick or treaters and your family. It's always best to make sure no falls or injuries happen on your property, and a well-lit area is your best protection against accidents on Halloween night.
Drive Through Events
Enjoy Trick or Treating from the comfort of your vehicle with drive-through Halloween events happening in Myrtle Beach! Kids can dress up, collect candy, and see Halloween decorations & performances at two events happening at Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach!
- Barefoot Landing event is this Saturday, October 24th from 5-7
- Broadway at the Beach event is Friday, October 30th from 5-7
More Ways To Celebrate!
If you'd rather stay indoors, your family can get into the Halloween spirit by having a spooky movie night or a candy hunt around the house with the kids!
Visiting a pumpkin patch or corn maze is a great way to get outside and have fun while keeping a safe distance from others. Pick out a few pumpkins and have a great time carving your masterpieces with your family or friends outside.
